I read lots and lots of other SL blogs. When I came across the Y-Me blog's reoccurring feature about what search terms led to their site, I became curious about my own. So, in the spirit of 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery', I pulled up Google Analytics and took a gander at mine. The normal stuff is there – searches for my name, Girl Wonder, searches for people mentioned in my blog, etc. But, there were many that left me scratching my head:

I am afraid that the poor folks who were searching innocently for 'Shaun Cassidy' and the ‘Mister Rogers song’ and landed *here* got a nasty surprise.
And just between you and me, I am dying to know if the 'monkey is watching us masturbating' search person ever found what they were looking for.

I've gotten some odd ones, too: "J. K. Rowling in a swimsuit" and "pubic hair fashion" immediately come to mind.
ReplyDeleteThe ones that actually make me snicker, though, are the search strings that were entered like actual, full-sentence queries. There are still a few people out there typing things like "Where do I go to buy knee-highs?" into Google. Lol ^^
For some reason, #52 cracked me up. I think mostly because I always laugh when someone writes "women" instead of "woman" when it's more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteMelanie - I have still not stopped laughing at the search for JK Rowling. I can only imagine what they wanted to find, LOL.
ReplyDeleteAlicia - I suspect that happens sometimes when people are 'typing with their left hand'...if you know what I mean. [wink]
My personal favorite was #68 - which of course I *had* to make the title of my post.
I feel ever so sorry for the poor sod searching for his sex life in 122. I wonder if it turned up again, what a thing to misplace.
ReplyDeleteWillow - I think the monkey took it.
ReplyDeleteTymmerie, as Iwrote some time ago an article about Miss Belgium Second Life, this has become my most popular post. I wonder if those visitors, who came by to look for something related to Miss belgium, really were looking for the Miss from Second Life.
ReplyDeleteIn one weekend I had whole Poland on my blog, just for that one article, lol.
Looker - I do remember that article! LOL...maybe they got to your blog and discovered a new hobby (SL) out of it!
ReplyDeleteSure it was my monkey search that first got me to your blog…. But now that I have found it I will never leave :-0. No I am actually not the Monkey man... hmm, I guess it could have been a Monkey women too (or maybe that threesome referenced). Oh well who ever that was I am sure your blog somehow made their life better.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I have to go see which search terms I get. I would love to found by people who type in 'nice clit'.
ReplyDeleteCreamy - Post them! Pretty please? I am so curious about how people find us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these phrases :)
ReplyDeleteThe ones on my blog are not nearly as funny, but I still try to figure out what people searching for "roger rabbit sex" were looking for ... or why my blog can be found with the searchwords "sl addict" ;-)
