I Know What Boys Like...

I saw a bunch of SL bloggers taking a quick-and-dirty version of the Myers-Briggs personality inventory. I am an ENFP - Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiver. So basically, this means that I am pathetically desperate for attention and approval**, hate to balance my checking account, and have the attention span of the average three year old. Oh, and I should be a computer programmer when I grow up. *thud*

OK, OK....I took a bit of creative license with the results.

But, in light of the impending holiday of SLove, I decided to also take the "What Do Guys Like About You Quiz" that I found on the site that hosted the personality quiz.

Now, I kind of hated that in one of the questions you are only given the choice of being a selfish shrew or dining-and-dashing. (I mean, Jiminy Christmas - there are other possible solutions in that situation.)

Anyhoo, here is my result:

Guys Like That You're Charming

You're the girl most guys can't get out of their heads
Even if they met you on a bad hair day :-)
You just seem to "click" with everyone you meet
So even if a guy forgets about you for a second... his friends haven't!

I must tell you what a relief it is to discover that boys don't only like me for my adorable avatar caboose.

But, because I also want to be just like The Waitresses, I put together a little survey (in the sidebar to your right) - yes it is the world longest side bar survey - I could not stop myself.) to find out what the men of SL are really looking for in a Valentine.

So, Ok, Gentlemen - help me out. Please take this survey so that I may share the result with the fine ladies of Second Life. You may select more that one answer, but be nice to me and try not to choose more than 5 items. Honor system, OK? Gracias.

Now, for the write-in portion of this survey, you will have to post comments. Please do and don’t hold back. Cupid is waiting anxiously.

Note: I am working on a female version of this survey, also. So, if you have suggestions for possible answers please add them to your comments.

** This means that when a certain SL blog announced that they had 10k page hits in their first 3 weeks, I pouted and stomped around my house like Veruca Salt ==> "But, Daddy, I want 10,000 page views, NOW!!" Just kidding...but jeebus...10k? I am just going to have to post more topless photos of Jerremy (see sidebar).

  1. One item I'd have added: Loves music. That's a biggie for me.

    here's what I checked off:

    Has a cute Avatar
Possesses charm and wit to match my own.
    Laughs at all my jokes.
Loves to explore interesting places in SL.
Will not rat me out in her blog.

    PS: I'm a "Scientist"

  2. Garrett - TY for filling it out! "Loves music" is a good one! I can't believe I forgot it. That would have been much better than the Star Track question.

Oh, and I should have asked about dog/cat preferences. OMG...as you can see I am obviously *not* a scientist.

And *I* would never rat anyone out in my blog. :-)

  3. You know, I never thought that the whole "ratting out in the blog" thing would be an issue. I'm really open in my blog about things, but I'd never say something like "OMG Mr.X was flirting with another girl and then he said I wasn't any good at cybering and he LEFT and took his Xcite toys with him!"

  4. Alicia - Agreed! I try so hard not be discreet with my blog and not id people. When I first started blogging, I thought that I would write about specific relationships - of course I was going to use nicknames and aliases: no ratting out (that would bring bad karma). But omg they read our blogs! So the focus of my blog had to change.

I am even discreet with my SL stalking victim. :-P

However, there is this one guy - let's call him Lerremy Larwin - who actually is disappointed that I do not write about him more. I supposed I will write about him...but it will be against my will.

  5. Dear Cupid,

The type of woman I would most desire as my Valentine would have to be a combination of many things. I must admit to being greedy and wanting a lot. For starters my preference is that she posses charm and wit to match my own. I love life and get much enjoyment from it. I would want my girl to be the same and able to express herself in many ways. Perhaps a writer...who also converses well face to face. I also highly value creativity. She should be able to think on her feet and immerse herself in various RP situations from time to time. One of the greatest gifts of this world is that we can be anything and do anything. Another great thing about this world is the ever-changing landscape. I want someone who also enjoys discovers new places, and savoring old favorites. Additionally, she should be able to say, build a house from scratch, and know how to properly adjust things... as needed ;-) Lastly the person on the other side should not have testicles in RL - and they should not have been removed surgically or through trauma such as the hideous black mass blog on earlier my Tym. Now I suppose I should be more enlightened and just accept someone at face (or SL) value. I have had friends the were of mixed SL/RL gender. Buy when I am with someone, I don't hold anything back. I think such a gender difference would impede my ability to express myself.

Oh Cupid, a couple of more things not on the survey.... She should love games (such as say...Primtionary), be genuinely kind to others and equally willing to help strangers or a seasoned veteran. Patient and willing to risk what she wants the most. And most of all... be fluent in Typoneses.. :-)

Actually Cupid, you do not need to help me. I have managed to find my Valentine all on my own. Strangely enough she is an ENFP like me (hmm, I hope that is a good thing - lol)

By the way honey, another interesting thought provoking blog. xox
