Quick and Dirty Party Post

Yay! People came to our party!! I had so much fun and I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who stopped by and boogied with us!!

Now the main event of the party was supposed to be a grudge match between SLebrity Willow Caldera and myself. The match was conceived long ago as we challenged each other for the right to ogle Jerremy's nipples. (We really didn't need to try that hard - the man takes off his shirt at every opportunity.) In any case, since that time I have obtained (almost) exclusive access to Jerremy's nipples by virtue of being his fiancée. But we decided to keep the match for fun and challenged each other for a blurb on the other's blog.

The April Blogger party was the setting for the match. Long story short, despite my fervent attempts and almost breaking a nail pounding at my keyboard, Willow won 3 out of the 4 matches and was declared the victor. The baby I wore to gain crowd sympathy was no help at all and has been grounded until his 2nd birthday. Just wait until I find out who his parents are.

This is a picture of Willow gaining the upper hand and showing no sympathy at all for the tiny baby strapped to my chest. Jerremy is obviously looking around for witnesses to the assault (or to his luck at having a front row seat for watching two half naked women wrestle in chocolate).

So since I have lost the match, I will happily tell you about the marvelously imaginative writing that goes on when Willow puts finger to keyboard (obviously not pen to paper). Willow's blog, Willow the Wisp, is a lovely mix of RL and SL. This is where you get to know all about the girl behind the avatar (complete with adorable pictures!), her adventures in SL and in RL and her love of a good meme. Willow is a terribly talented writer. I love reading each and every word for its elegance and British wit. If you ever hear me talking about boxed lunatics, her blog is where I got the term. Her blog gives you a feel for her many projects, including Twilight magazine and heading up the SLNN Fashion Team. I love that she must never sleep and has time to let her mind spill out onto the pages of this blog!

Here you can see costume contest winners (Yes! a 3-way tie!) Looker Lumet and Freggeltje Food as beach camping aliens and Eladrienne Laval as an Opossum backpacker. (That is Willow there, off to the side, in grass stains and with twigs in her hair. Read about that costume choice here.)

  1. I was watching the chocolate fight between Willow and you, and I have to say, that is was your choice to step into the ring with that baby. Therefore I can say, there was no assault and Willow won a fair game.;)) Sorry Tymmerie!;))

  3. I totally wanted to take those cute lil aliens home! Fab party, Tym, I had a great time. Especially in the pool of chocolate...

    And thank you for a really lovely write-up, too - for anyone who hasn't looked, I returned the favour on my own blog due to a sneaking, though much-denied, suspicion she let me win!

  7. I am a man of my word. I said that I would wear a title for Willow and her blog for one week, and I am. I am even thinking of wearing the bear suit while I do so :-) I had a great time at the party. Tymmerie you are a wonderful co-host. It was a great theme and I think everyone had a great time.     Hmm, Eladriene, I didn't realize that you could take non possum form..... I know I challenged you to wrestle... but technically that was the bear talking... and I think he drinks too much at parties... umm... well I guess if I am a man of my word... I should be a bear of my word too ;-) Ok, we will wrestle. Either in animal form or human, or a mix. Just let me know when and where. I can bring the pit to the next blogger party if you like. I should actually write something on my blog. I once had an entry which I have since deleted - lol. I mean, you will have to write about my wonderful blog when I win. So I better have a blog for you to refer to :-)

    I actually like the idea of some contest at blogger parties where the looser has to write about someone else's blog. Gets a little cross promotion going. I originally was going to hand out a note card at the party called the 6 degrees of Tymmerie Thorne. I was going to list all the blogs that were connected to Tym's, 6 deep. However, one of the bloggers that Tym provided a link for, provided a link for Zoe Connolly . Since she has the longest list of SL bloggers in the universe... my poor note card would have tested the limits on length.

    You know. One doesn't even have to wait for their av to loose a match in a Belgium chocolate wrestling match to have a reason to blog about a fellow blogger. So I would like to challenge all the bloggers that may happen to have stumbled upon this comment, from a self professed blog party crashing non-blogger, to write a blog about your favorite blog!
