I worked on his wedding ring today (we are making each others' rings) and I got to see the draft invitations for the wedding. I tried to do a lot, but SL isn't the same without him - no matter how busy I keep myself.
I didn't realize how much I missed him - so much so that I am sitting here in a bikini and high heels as a surprise for him (I usually great him in jeans and a t-shirt...lol). I need him, I love him, I want him here with me.
There has been so much talk of partnering in my circle of friends and acquaintances this week, that it made me miss him even more.
He makes everything better. He makes everything right with my world. So, I need My Groom.
And not just because I need him to explain the toast fad that has hit the grid.
ETA: Jerremy is back from his vacation! YAY! Thank you for all of your support everyone!

For this third installment of the Man Behind the Goatee interview series I bring you a special treat – handsome blogger and creative writer Dyami Jameson (http://dyamijameson.blogspot.com/). We met, along with his beautiful partner, CeNedra Rivera, at Darwin Hall meeting space for our interview.
Dyami Jameson: Hi there
CeNedra Rivera: Hi!
Me: Have a seat anywhere....Let’s get this question out of the way first. You are not single is that correct?
Dyami Jameson: LOL....nope....and happily so! [Settles into a corner couch and props his feet up.] Cen claims that I was one of SL's most eligible bachelors before she nabbed me.
Me: You look comfy!
DJ: LOL......I'm hiding the nervousness
Me: Don’t be nervous....I am very nice….
DJ: Ummm.....do I have to do the interview shirtless?
Me: [stares] I am not taking any pictures during the interview, Dyami.
DJ: LOL....ok then. Shirt stays on!
Me: Let's get started!! So, Dyami, do you have a goatee in RL, too?
DJ: No, I don't have a goatee in real life. I do have a beard, but I keep it trimmed pretty short. I don't like the bushy look. More like the 3-4 day growth.
Me: Why did you choose to have one in SL?
DJ: I liked the way it looked with this skin, the hairstyle and everything. I bought the skin with and without the goatee. I've always gone without, but this one looked better with it. And I really like it.
Me: Now, I know your girlfriend is right here, but I am reading off of my standard list of questions. What is your favorite kind of outfit to see a SLignificant other wear (not counting lingerie or being nude)?
CR: I’m anxious for this answer! LOL!
DJ: hmmmm......LOL…Since lingerie is out - that's my favorite actually- I'd have to say a nice sexy dress or any shirt that shows a little tummy. Showing a little tummy is sexy to me. Just that little hint though.
Me: If you could go back and give your newly born self one piece of information or advice what would it be?
DJ: That it's ok to ask questions. When I first started I tried to figure stuff out on my own and it didn't always work out so well. I finally had some people show me how to do different things and that helped a lot. I try to help out people when they need it too. But I'm no SLexpert.
Me: What is the funniest/oddest/most embarrassing place you have ever rezzed into/logged on in?
DJ: LOL.....well.....I got a random IM one night out of the blue to a club and the name sounded like somewhere I might go, so I tp'd there. When everything rezzed, I was standing right in the middle of a circle and all around me were naked guys and girls tied up to stocks. Needless to say I got out of there quick. Don't even remember the name. I was afraid I was gonna be next!
Me: OMG!! LMAO!! There is a lesson for newbies - do not take every TP offer!
DJ: Right....and I should have known better!
Me: Dyami, what is an item of clothing/accessory/household item you wish you had in SL but don't?
DJ: hmmmm......I'd say better shoes. I can't get the shoes right. They always look funny to me. The other day I tried to resize one and something went wrong and the shoe ended up being as big as me.
Me: LOL…So what is the most prim wasteful thing you own at your SL home?
DJ: Well, half of my prims are taken up with the tropical arrangements that I have from Heart VR. There's a couple of them that are over 100 prims. But they are nice and I can't take them off. I've taken other junk off first. And they are good to hide behind when taking pineapple suit pics!
Me: ROFL!!! You were a brave man to post those pics.
DJ: LOL....a momentary lapse in judgment....I'd never be caught dead doing that in real life. Unless I was drinking a little too much spiked pineapple juice!
Me: Do you build?
DJ: I've played around with building a little. I've started several builds, but lost patience and never finished them. I know enough to do the basic stuff if I need to mod something. You know, just enough to be dangerous.
Me: Ahhhh!! Like me!! Now, if your favorite movie got made into a sim, what would be your favorite area/feature?
Dyami Jameson: hmmmmm......that’s a tough one. I'm not a big movie watcher. I always like the
Me: A sim with Adam Sandler on it is my nightmare actually.
Me: What has been the most surprising thing about SLife?
DJ: I guess all of the different people I've met from different countries and cultures. And there's so much to do and explore. I never figured there could be this much to do. You could never do it all.
Me: OK...Cen's turn!!! Do you have any questions for him?
CR: Dyami is there anything you regret doing or not having done in SL?
DJ: hmmmm......I really don't have any regrets that I can think of. I've done everything a little better and I was a little wiser this time around. I really took the time to pick out skins and shapes until I found one that I really liked. I'm happy with the way my SLife is right now.
Me: I love that! Great question!! I may add that to future interviews!
CR: LOL ok , it's interesting with Dyami because this is his 2nd time around so I thought he'd have fewer regrets than most of us. OH! I did think of one more question - is it too late?
Me: Not at all!!!
CR: OK! LOL! Dyami what question did Tym not ask that you would like people to know about you?
Me: Good one!!!
DJ: hmmmm....give me a sec…I'd say that I'm a little braver here in SL. I wouldn't dare do some of the things that I've done here in real life. I'm actually a little shy sometimes in real life. I guess we're all brave since we're pretty much anonymous. And I'd have to add that I like to write. That's one reason that I started blogging. I like the creative writing the best.
Me: May I mention your "Back Page" creative writing blog? [Be warned readers - this is a blog for adults only and it is hawt. OMG. This is one place where Dyami's bravery and creativity really shows.]
DJ: Sure if you want.....it's ok I guess.
Me: Thanks so much for doing this interview, Dyami and CeNedra!

Methinks someone at Linden Labs reads Arminasx Saiman's blog! He has recently written a very interesting post about names and now he has developed a scoring mechanism for names!!!
Quick! Go to Arminasx's blog, Second Effects, and get a score for how well chosen your name is!
Apparently, a score of 100 is the best name ever. I got a 73 with mine.
What score did you get and would you buy a new avatar name from Linden Labs?
ETA: Make sure you leave a comment on his blog, too!

He thought this was the neatest idea since sliced bread. I don't get it. Actually having your real peach on your avatar seems a bit too much. That person went through an awful lot of effort to show off her tangerine. If I did something that took that much time and effort, I would then have to justify it by showing off my mango to everyone on the grid. How much is this person (or people she knows) looking at her own papaya? And how is anyone supposed to know that is actually her own fig unless she tells them? Good gawd.
Would you do this if you could? Men - would you do this for your banana and kiwis? How much photorealism is ok before things get really creepy?
And is anyone else hungry?

But when I saw cute little sandals that came with with perfectly formed little Lee™ Press On Toes, I thought, "How cute! I must have those!" Well, darn it all anyway!!!! Now what do I have but yet another HUD! First, I must use the HUD to adjust the color of the actual skin so it doesn't look like I have been poking my toes into tanning beds for weeks on end. Then I have to, "pick a color!" (ahhhhh....shades of a RL nail salon....), then I have to do some sort of adjustment with toe rings. Then, I have to decide it the pointy toe should be longer than the big toe. (Kiddding.)
GAH!!!! All I wanted was freaking pair of espadrilles. I just want to wear my shoes - not program them. Weep.

"One of our dearest friends, SL resident Becca Chambers - needs our help!
Late Tuesday night Becca was stricken with a pulmonary embolism as she prepared to go to bed. Her husband awoke to find her in difficulty. She was taken to the hospital where she suffered pulmonary arrest, followed by two cardiac arrests caused by the embolism. Heroic efforts by the doctors and nurses saved her life, but her brain was deprived of oxygen for a dangerously long time. She is now in a medically induced coma.
SL resident, Dane Immelmann who is also Becca's RL husband is updating us daily. We hope to have good news soon!
We are currently planning a fundraiser for Dane and the family so if you would like to participate, please feel free to jump right in.
We will be holding an all day party at The Bomb Factory, located on the island of Anarchy, Becca's beloved home!
On Sunday, 4:00pm - 6:00pm SLT we will also be holding a Formal Ball in the Castle at Anarchy.
Please search Nincropolis VIP under Groups and join to receive the notices regarding all the DJ's and events that will be held.
Please contact Marlee Rehnquist and/or Mocksoup Graves if you have any questions, and to receive Becca's Pink Butterfly to show you are thinking of her.
Wow - it is over....yay!!!! I am going to answer Alicia's last question as a wrap up to this challenge:
What did you get out of this whole experience? Do you think this will change how you blog in the future?
What I got out of the experience was the idea of what it is like to live in Alicia's brain! WOW!! There is a lot going on in there!!! I also developed a new appreciation for my own personal style of blogging.
Time was an issue unfortunately. If I didn't have some insomnia, I am not sure I would have been able to complete the challenge. One of the reasons some of my regular blogging has slowed is that I have less free time than I did when I started my blog. It takes me a long while to write an essay that is interesting. I would still like to write those. I get so much more enjoyment out of writing and researching an "analysis" of SL issues like pregnancy or holidays in world or even doing interviews. I do not get that same "rush" or satisfaction from more hurried, shorter posts.
Alicia and some of the other bloggers have a talent for writing quick short posts and I love reading them. But when I tried it, I felt like I was sharing for sharing's sake. I prefer to have a different purpose to my posting. Otherwise it doesn't seem worth the effort – my SLife just isn't that interesting!
It may change the way I write in the future my reminding me to post more regularly. I have slacked a bit of late. If I put my mind to it I can get a good number of updates out. I am also more comfortable with the occasional picture or short post mixed in there. I do have a new appreciation for the different types of posts and I may mix it up more in the future.
I am so so glad I did the challenge and appreciate everyone else who did it too! I am sorry my posts were kind of boring.
What can you look forward to on my blog soon? A look at getting health care in SL and a new Man Behind the Goatee interview. I am excited about these and future posts!
Thank you for reading my blog!!!! (And thank you for not throwing things at me for not being very interesting this week!)
This is what Jerremy and I will look like at the RFL Prom coming up this weekend. :-( Unless RL prevents us from going to together.

There are two proms nights! Each set of prom tickets costs $1500 per couple and you'll be contributing to a great cause!
Both nights promise great fun - with prizes, prom pictures, yearbooks and more!
Dates and times:

Sunday, June 15th from 5pm to 9pm SLT.
This is your chance to put on some prom hair, a fancy dress and matching shoes! Break out that light blue tux and let's all go dancing!!! I'll see you there?

The Happy Couple look lovingly at one another!
I finish (read: spill) my champagne as Jerremy and I boogie down.
This was the scene on the dance floor. Look carefully - you can see Alicia Chenaux if you look between the bride and groom
Jerremy even dressed in the Medieval theme!
A great time was had by all! Best wishes to the bride and groom!!!
There once was a girl who lived in [sim name]
Whom some thought was kind of a tramp..
But they were mistaken,
Becasue she was just fakin'.
She was only a bit of a vamp
Anyhoo, our new house has room for an office so I moved from my old one and now my business office is just off of our dining room! Here are some pictures:
This is me at my desk, writing furiously to keep up with Alicia's blogger challenge.
This one shows the GREAT sign my friend Marlee Theas made for the RFL kissing booth the other weekend - she let me use it as a sign in my office!! I SLove it!
I'll show you more of the house this week as I am quite proud of how Jerremy has done the grounds and how I have decorated it so far.

The photo was taken by Jerremy - I snuck him in for a few minutes to see things.

Have you put on a few extra prims?
Are you, like me, sitting in front of your computer wishing that your typing burned far more calories than it does? Are you risking a head injury while balanced precariously on one of those fit balls that is supposed to work your "core muscles" while you sit at your desk? Or are you busy shaking crumbs out of your keyboard since you just ate dinner in front of your pc... yet again (omg - just me???). Well, if you think it is hard to stay in shape in front of our pc's imagine what it is like living *in* them.
Between TPing (which barley expends any effort) and flying (which, unless you have a flying animation that flaps your arms, also uses very little activity), the average avatar has to look for ways to sneak in exercise or actively work out.
What's for SLupper?
And don't even get me started on the food most avatars consume. Has your SLife been filled with week upon week of meal skipping, broken only by the occasional glass of champagne and slice of rez day cake?
Did you know that not eating slows your metabolism? Now you do. Anyhoo, gawd forbid that happens to me - so I always keep a steady supply of liquor, espresso drinks, cotton candy and popcorn around. And I am always first in line when the rez day cake gets passed around.
Unfortunately, this food is no terribly conducive to fitting into my SL wedding dress.
So I decided that I'd better do something, at least virtually, to shape up my shape. Luckily, Second Life has a surprising number of places where your avatar can get physical. Try Bourbon’s
If you want to be a little more creative with your physical activity, may I suggest...dancing! (Ha! My regular readers thought I was going to say sex! But I didn't! You do not get much exercise when tied down to a ....wait!!! OMG!! Just me? Again?) While some of that dancing could take place on a stripper pole, ballroom, salsa and even night club dancing will work up a virtual glow.
Or just jog around the grid. CTRL-R might provide you with the perfect workout. Well, there is just one problem - unless you are on a treadmill, you are going to run out of land or run into a red barrier of some sort. I have not tried jogging on the mainland, but I would assume that
What to wear? Leg warmers are de rigor. Sweat bands are optional.
My best workout fashion advice? You will look super hawt working out in stilettos and no bra - something you would not dare to do in RL, but can do until the cows come home in SL. However, men look silly in stilettos, so at the very least they should go pick up a free pair of Nike Air Shocks at Muism.
Now, eventually you are going to want to check your progress. In RL, they say the best gauge of how much weight you are losing is how your clothes fit. The problem is that in SL all my clothes always fit perfectly - no matter where my slider bars are. So, I am going to have to use a scale. I found one at the
Personally, I get a lot of exercise riding my hipppety hop around town. So much so that I have sex just to rest up for a while (See above.).
What ever you choose, select something you enjoy and be consistent about it. You'll feel great when someone complements you on having the slider bars of an 18 year old.

Here is Alicia's challenge question for the day:
Do you have dreams about SL? If so, do you dream of SL as it is, or does it become more "real world?"
If I could actually sleep....ha! OK I do sleep, just lately I have had some trouble with waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. Anyhoo, you know what? I do not remember any dreams about SL. But, SL has become more "real world".
I read on Cen's blog that she was looking for a shrug sweater that she owned, only to realize that she didn't own it in RL, she owned it in SL. That has happened to me and it feels so strange! Jerremy recently told me about being out RL shopping and seeing some BBQ grills. He stopped to look at them but then realized that he didn't need one in RL - he wanted one for our SL home!
Maybe blogging makes the line between RL and SL blur more? I am not sure. I think that if it does it is because I do throw in bits of RL even as I write about SL. Plus, the task of blogging happens in RL (just like any writing I do for SLNN) so it makes part of SL actually RL...if that makes any sense.
Now, my personal challenge for the BBB is to decide if different topics merit completely different posts or if I should mush them all together whenever I sit down to write. This is because I wanted to update you on my new house and things since Jerremy and I moved out of Wonderful Land.
Hmmmmmm......I will wait to update you. I can take more time that way and attempt to be amusing. Plus, Jerremy might have pictures of the house and things for me to share! YAY! (He is a really, really good photographer, IMHO.) Oh!! Then, another day I can give you a virtual tour of the house and grounds!!! Then, another day I can complain about SL TV reception. Another day will be my post on exercise in SL. Then, if I can get over my astonishment, I may have to post on the fact that Naughty Nibbles now sells prim baby bottles. Of course, I will keep answering Alicia's questions each day, too.
And if I run out of topics for the challenge, I will do an entire discourse about why you should not resize your head to fit your hair (yes - that deserves its own post).

Well, apparently I was not busy enough and I got too much sleep. A blog will fix that in a jiffy.
Kidding. Sort of. The truth is that I wanted to give the game of Second Life a purpose so that I would have some sort of direction and not just be running around buying clothes and boinking people. I decided to write the style of blog I do because I think some people take SL too seriously and I wanted to add a lighthearted perspective to commentary on the game.
I do happen to enjoy writing - even though I secretly curse at myself for starting a blog sometimes...LOL. I tend to pressure myself to post often (even if I do not succeed) and be somewhat amusing (even if I do not always succeed).
I also tended to use blogs a TON when I first got started to learn how things worked and I admit to being a total FanGirl toward bloggers - especially the bloggers I started reading at the very beginning of my SLife. I wanted to be one of them! (Or at least have SLex with some of them.)
After a while, I began to use my blog to keep score of how I was doing in the "game" of Second Life. Did I have interesting things to write about? What was I learning that I could share? What did I find amusing? Were people reading my blog? How could I get more people to read it? Google Analytics and MyBlogLog became my heart beat and I took my pulse constantly. I pouted with jealousy when new blogs got more hits than mine. Now, I take it as a point of pride how many Technorati "authority" points I have. (And hey, that got me into a kissing booth last weekend. Totally worth it.)
So thanks to this blog, I am a productive, employed, monogamous, home-owning member of SL SLociety.

ETA: Oh! and I crashed at the end of my kissing booth shift and could not get logged back in, so I never got to meet Hamlet Au - whom I want to interview for my Man Behind the Goatee series. (And, I think I ended up kissing more women than men.)
What a day!
