With Apologies to the Discovery Channel

Occasionally, when my typist travels for work, she catches some Discovery Channel in her hotel room. Her program of choice? Cash Cab. I wonder how such a game might play out in SL? 

[insert dream sequence music here]

 Me: Welcome to Linden Limo, a game show that takes place right here in this prim taxi! (You didn't know I was a cab driver in SL, did you?) I drive around aimlessly looking to pick up innocent fares to play my trivia game! They can earn Lindens for every right answer! But if they get three wrong? I pull over and kick 'em out! Oh! There's someone looking for a ride now! 

[pulls over] Need a ride, buddy? 

Mr. Fare:  Yea. TPs are down and I need to go to Mosh and Yedboro near Kama Center.

[crazy game show music blares and lights flash]  What the...? 

Me:  You are in the Linden Limo! A game show that takes place right in this taxi! 

Passenger: [sigh] I don't see any other cabs around here.

Me: Kama Center is 37 sims away -- you have lots of time to win Lindens! Let's start! For $100L, what is the name of Torley Linden's sim?

Passenger: Do you know how long TPs will be down?

Me: Oh! Wrong! That is strike one. Question two: What does the 'M' in M Linden's name stand for?

Passenger: How the hey are you able to ask questions, keep score, look at the camera and drive all at the same time without crashing?

Me:  Incorrect! Strike two!

Passenger: Wait! I didn't...

Me: Hey! We are at a sim crossing and that triggers a Sim Crossing challenge! This is a bonus question! 

Passenger: [sigh]

Me: Name 6 of the 13 basic prim shapes on the create menu. Go!

Passenger: You realize that I could have flown and gotten to my destination faster?

Me: That is not the answer! But don't worry - that won't count as a strike since it was a bonus question!

Passenger: Lucky me.

Me: We are almost to your destination. We just have to get through this futuristic, damaged enabled, robot-themed, battle role playing sim. Ready for question three?

Passenger: Jeebus. Fine.

Me: What is the name of the newly purchased and revamped SL e-commerce web site?

Passenger: umm...can you drive a little faster? Those warrior robots are getting awfully close. 

Me: Wrong! [pulls over] I am sorry but that is strike three!    

Passenger: What? You are kicking me out?

Me: Yes. This is how the game is played! Better luck next time.

Passenger: But you can't drop me off here! Those robots will kill me!

Me: Sorry. Your ride has ended. But I hope you had a good time.

Passenger: No!! Please!! Don't leave me! Wait! Flying is disabled here!

Me: Have a great day!

Passenger: [screams] 

Me: [looks into camera] And now to look for a new contestant for....LLLLinden Limo! [peels out]
