To do list for Monday

Hi! My typist has the day off of work today thanks to a holiday. This means I have some extra time to work on things for our Halloween party.

One of those things is helping locate a bloody lab coat for Jerremy's costume. We are building a mad scientist's laboratory for the party and Jerremy and I are going to be part of the scenery. We shopped for things this weekend and that gave us the chance to say things like, "I think we are good on coffins, Honey" and, "I'd like to put a pile of leftover body parts in the corner, Sweetums." We are trying to get the whole set up done as early as we can so we can invite people in to explore (we are making hidden hallways and rooms) and take pictures if they want.

I joked with friends this week that there was a giant rat in our living room and it could be because A) it was something for our party, or B) I have dropped a prim sandwich behind our couch a couple of weeks ago. So yes, there is a lot of odd stuff lying around.

A huge part of the fun for me is making my costume - which is going to be macabre with a mildly Steampunk flavor. It has been so fun exploring Steampunk shops looking for items since I never had occasion to visit them before. I want to be gruesome - but pretty gruesome, know what I mean? I got adorable hair for it!

I am not sure at this point if Jerremy and I could survive on less land in SL. The scientist's castle is HUGE. and we still have the Ghambt Community Center set up, complete with its parking lot. And a ton of the decorations have scripts of some sort - so I think we are going to have to put some things away during the party to make certain we have good sim performance.

Another thing I really have to do today is to finish the invitations. I need to get these out for my own sanity. It is killing me not to spill the beans on every detail of the party and I think I will feel better if people at least know the theme so they can get costumes together (in case they want to use the theme as inspiration).

I have no idea how to wrap up this rambling post, so I am going to share with you two snapshots I took while exploring a prefab house about a week ago. (I shared this on Plurk already.) I thought this outfit was interesting

He really should consider using a milder detergent.

I will also repeat the joke I stole from Alicia Chenaux: I think he has the money to buy an expensive prefab because his pants were half off.

I know of a good lab coat, I just need to get online and send you the designer/LM. It's based on Doctor Steel.

Thanks so much, Crap! I even found something for my own costume there!

LOL! Haley - I didn't talk to him or click on any of his prims (yikes!) so I have no idea where he got them. LOL! They would make a lovely costume!
