The skin you're in...

EEK! I bit the bullet today. I boxed up all of my treasured Celestial Vogue skins. I had every single makeup - including the Deviant Nation makeups - in two skin tones and a handful of favorite makeups in a third. This is weird for me! This is literally the only skin line I have worn  (except for rare times I was wearing a special makeup for a costume) for almost 2 1/2 years. See how loyal I can be? I know that many fashionistas will recoil in horror at the thought of not changing skins frequently. But Celestial Vogue was ME. Really, no one on the grid makes a prettier kitty or stomach than Starley Thereian. Vogue is connected with all of my best memories in SL.

Anyhoo, I think I have found something that feels like me, so I will start 2010 with an evolution of sorts. However, if Celestial comes out with a Vogue 2 line or something (hint, hint), I'll be back in a flash!

  1. Hey, I don't blame you for sticking to one set of skins. I've always used the same half dozen skins or so for most of the nearly 4 years I've been on Sl myself ^_^.

  2. Which new skin did you choose?

  3. Me too! I picked my Vogue skin before I ever rezzed the first time from a blog pic! And except for themed outfits wore it for 2-1/2 years straight. Mine has a gray cast to it with new LL light settings that were introduced with windlight so it had to go. But I am still searching for the perfect me....

  4. Ramen - wow! 4 years? It is interesting how much the familiarity of our avatar means.

    Chestnut - I PP'd you.

Casandra - it is a hard search!

  5. I started looking for a new skin in June...seven months and umpteen demos later, I'm still at it. The recent trend for freckles has made it more difficult.

  6. Brings back memories.. I was also loyal to my Vogue skins for ages. And at first I didn't like anything else on me. But now? It sucks up so much of my money.... a thousand here a thousand there. Once you get started, it's hard to stop! Have fun with it and never stop trying the demos... (or maybe that's actually not such good advice?)
