Let's Get Physical!

Don't mind me! I'm just getting some exercise here at the Pose Fair (April 2 - 16)! See how I am in workout gear and everything? This is how I keep my figure.

The fact that there is a Pose Fair at all makes me giddy.  I am such a pose ho'. I love them. I collect them. I admire myself in them. I fat pack them. I spread them out on the floor and roll around in them.

When I visited, I tested the limits of my pixel spandex with high action poses! Starting from the top left and going clockwise in the photo, I am high kicking at Olive Juice, practicing some ballet moves at Chanimations, kicking some @$$ at Pulling Strings and admiring the melons at Chanimations. 

When you go, be sure to stretch first. Then, bend and reach for the free items that lots of the nearly 100 vendors have out. Exercise restraint at the first shop -- there are lots more to visit and many have new releases out. And when you get up off of a pose ball, be sure to wipe it down for the next person to use. 

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I pulled something and I am going to get Jerremy to give me a rub down. Ciao!

Honey Bunny

Jerremy seemed to get excited when I told him I would dress like a bunny for him this week. He is going to love this! I feel so pretty in my ears and fluffy tail! 

I'm going to go downstairs and light some candles and chill some champagne.

Holy Mole-y!

Every day, I check my mole to see if if looks funny. But not that kind of mole.

Or that kind. Or a counterspy. Or the number 6.022 x 10²³. This kind of mole:

Isn't he adorable? (The tall one in the middle, I mean.) This is my favorite mole: my husband, Jerremy. Jerremy has skills. And he can terraform very well, too.

Sometimes, while sitting together inside the house, we'll start talking about the landscaping or the yard or something. I'll notice edit lines from his hands and realize he's terraforming while we talk. Sometimes he terraforms naked! Can you terraform naked? 

Did you know that there is a temple to moles in SL? It's on the Asian themed Linden Home sim, Shareta Osumai. Here is a picture:

This Mole Temple is proof that the Linden Moles have healthy self-esteem. Maybe too healthy.

I'll let you in on a secret - Jerremy has terraformed a series of tunnels under our house. I'm still not sure why, but they are there. For some reason he is fascinated with tunnels. I don't get it. Oh well, I'll ponder that while I go play with my train set.

I am 11 years old today.

You know what that big pink arrow behind me looked like before it finished rezzing? I know! I am totally immature. But I laughed and laughed until I realized what it really was.

I am standing at the landing platform for the Spring Bazaar. I love things like this - anything that allows me to stock up on holiday/seasonal accouterments is a win. There is an Easter egg  hunt here for you to do also. Here is your first hint: There is an egg hidden somewhere in this picture! Grab it before it hops away! Wink!

It's only fun until someone gets hurt.

The SL Blogger party was so much fun! I crashed multiple times, but managed to get a couple of pictures of the dancing at least.

There was a fishing contest and XWA pro-wrestling in addition to the dancing. There was a lot of smack talk amongst the competitors for both events. Sadly, one of our hosts - Stuart Warf - was slightly injured while refereeing a wrestling match. If he wasn't blind before the match (and there were some in the crowd who strongly believed he was), he was afterward.  

Fishing competitor Keeme Browne tried to trick the other fishers into thinking that the 90 minute contest had ended. They didn't fall for it. But, sadly, I did and I started giving congrats to the players before realizing that there was almost a half hour left in the competition.

The beautiful and talented Callie Cline came to the party and I managed to get a picture with her. Happy New Year to you, too, Callie!

What are you wearing?

I just went to tomorrow's party area to get inspiration for what on earth to wear. I don't want to clash with the Destination Station (behind me in the picture). But, my outfit has to be festive, easy to move around in, easy to remove, flattering, won't show stains, water proof, fire proof and aerodynamic. Oh well, I am sure I have something in inventory that fits the bill. What are you going to wear?

SLiReport

I saw a CNN.com iReport video today about someone who researched the food (amount and variety) shown in artworks depicting the Last Supper. One place the researcher didn't check? Second Life, of course! So, I hopped over to Art Box to see for myself. This is a picture of me praying that the textures of the Apostles would rez more quickly. As far as the food goes, there were apples and what appeared to be falafel or meatballs. 

There was a notable absence of Easter Peeps.

Peacock-a-doodle-doo

I was Showcase hopping today and went to check out the Great Grid Wide Easter Egg Hunt location listed under the Spring Fling category. When I got there, the place was overrun by peacocks and I was very confused. But then, I realized that I was in a place called Peacock Park and I was a bit less confused. Of course then, I realized that there wasn't a single pea hen to be found in the entire place and I went back to my original level of confusion. Then, I wondered what peacocks have to do with Easter and I gave up and went home.

There is a script error and the package doesn’t give out any chicks. And then when I looked inside them, there were no Peep chicks for the item giver script to give. And I didn’t break them! They are no modify. Someone must have snuck into my inventory when I was sleeping and stole them out of the package! And I looked for a creator name so I could go back and buy new ones, but there is no store listed in her profile. And I looked in food shops for new ones, but everyone has bunny peeps. I don’t want bunny peeps! Bunny peeps taste different. They do! They are a whole different species. 

And now I don’t know what to serve Jerremy for dinner.

So, I haven't really been keeping up on the news lately. Is anything going on? Same ol', same ol'? Yea. I figured. How's Obama doing? Wait! Don't tell me! I'll just catch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report.

I kid! Given current events, I wanted to check out anything new in the SL medical arena to see if it has advanced any since this post. I took this picture at Ann Myers Medical Center - which appears to be a real teaching tool for real life students in the medical field, not an RP area. (I checked to make sure there were no people there first so that I wouldn't disturb a class or anything.) Of course, that didn't stop random RPers from TPing in and following me around the building looking for medical care:

Tickled Pink

I got together with a bunch of other people today for a photo organized by December Dollinger for the upcoming Pink Shirt Day (April 14th). Pink Shirt Day is a day of awareness for the problem of bullying.

Since I don't want to steal any thunder from the official pics, I decided to share one from behind the scenes of all of us getting into place in our pink shirts! We were the early birds so we got our pick of pose cubes. I just stayed on the first one I landed on, though. I was happy about the pose because my back was slightly toward the camera and you can see my name on my shirt! I even put my hair in a pony tail so I wouldn't block it.

December made our shirts and I was so tickled to have one with my name on it! Tickled pink, even.

Happy Rez Day, Marlee!!

Today was my friend Marlee Theas' Third Rez Day! And she doesn't look a day over 2 1/2. Seriously. I had the pleasure of hosting her first Rez Day par-tay so this was an extra special event. The Rez Day girl danced around too much for me to get a really good picture of her. Especially, since she had a big ol' cupcake in her mouth. But I tried:

A small meme was going around the SL Plurk community - Vocaroo. Chestnut Rau did a voice blog yesterday and she inspired me to do one myself.

I am preparing myself to do it now. I am a little worried since there doesn't seem to be any way to edit or redo a recording. Since it takes me about twelve tries to set up my voice mail message at work each time, I am making sure to set your expectations low.

OMG. I am such a dorkaziod. I am going to warn you right now that I was nervous and I had to turn the sound up high to get my voice to register. TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN before you play this or I will blow out your ear drums. Enjoy?

Orange you glad you've evolved?

I have a problem. I need orange shoes. 

I need them to go with my lemon shirt that I thought was an orange when I hurriedly bought it. It is still citrus though, so it still kind of counts. See, I was going to do a post using the new freebie RC Cluster Orangey Mouth. I thought I would go head-to-toe citrus when I got dressed. But when I got to my toes, I had nothing to wear.

I decided I could deal with that for the moment and popped the orange slice into my mouth. But, (and no offense to the brilliant creator Redd Columbia) it uses one of the standard facial animations so that you can see the orange and it gave me "crazy face." I am too vain to show "crazy face." What to do? Pose with my hands covering part of my face, of course! I am sure they do that in pictures for the RL media all the time.

For the record, each and every time I eat an orange, I stick the peel in my mouth and smile at someone. I think the very first humanoid who ate an orange did the same thing. And now your avatar can be like a primitive, humanoid creature, too!

I was planning to greet Jerremy today with an orange-slice-smile. Hopefully he will still love me.

No pinching!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! My friend Haley Salomon gave me this ice cold, green, shamrock emitting beer! Mmmmm...shamrocks! I don't like the taste of beer in RL, but this prim stuff? Amazing! 

I'm standing here in Glendalough, one of the places LL is highlighting in the Showcase for the holiday. I wasn't sure what I was going to think about the Showcase when it first started, but I've used it to find some pretty fun places to explore. I do wish it featured smaller, more unique stores in the shopping category rather than just the big places everyone already knows about. But it's still very useful.

As you can also see, I'm wearing lots of green to guard against sadistic people who use the holiday as an excuse to get their jollies. Sadly, this twisted behavior goes on in both worlds. I wonder if pinching animations even exist in SL? Oh well, I'm not taking any chances.  

Seriously. If Jerremy wants me naked tonight, I'll put on green jewelry or a tattoo - quick as a flash! He can pinch me the other 364 days of the year.

Magically Delicious!

Hey! I'm not even Irish and I am in the St. Patty's celebratin' mood! But it is because I'm not of Irish descent that I need to guard against pinching even more! I will be certain to wear lots of green tomorrow. I might even carry a lucky charm.

I knew I should have changed outfits!

Jerremy and I lounged on a hammock on our beach yesterday, so when I logged in today, I was wearing a swimsuit. I was in a hurry to post this so I didn't change. I TP'd over to Rezzed TV Island - and practically landed on artist/blogger Nika Dreamscape of Wine and Roses Home Decor. This is a picture of me apologizing to Nika and admiring the area that will hold the next SL Blogger Meet-Up Party!

The party will be on Saturday, March 27th from 2:00-5:00 PM SLT at Rezzed TV Island. Write that down. It is being hosted by Nika and Rezzed TV owner Stuart Warf!

SLord of the Dance

I am taking a break from shopping to explore and do a little jig over at St. Patrick's Day Town. There was an open dance ball next to these happy fellows and I joined in. Actually, there were a few open pose balls and I tried my best to get the people wandering around the area to join me for the picture. But only one person responded to my open chat call to dance - and he wanted to know how to get $Lindens. The Leprechauns? Sadly, they are bots. 

I totally would have jumped on a pose ball to take a fun photo if someone had asked me. Maybe it is my approach. This is how it went. You can tell me what I am doing wrong: "OMG! You guys - jump on one of these pose balls so I can take a picture for my blog! Hurry! RUN! No, I won't have the sex with you. Come on you guys! Please? I can't lend you 987L for a new skin. Come on!!! Pretty please? Jeebus!! Just get out of the frame then! MOVE!! Come on! You are either in or out of the picture. In or out. In or out. Just pick one and MOVE! Wait - why are you naked now? I can't take a pic with you naked!..."

Roam if you want to....

I have some reading music to go along with this post! I have seriously been thinking of this song since my trip to the Clothing Fair yesterday. And even if you didn't personally choreograph a dance for it that you got an entire quad to do during  a Friday Afternoon Club party in college, I think you will still enjoy it. 

I spent the morning dragging my suitcase from London to New York to Rio. I used the smart traveler's tip of bringing an empty piece of luggage along to hold all of your new purchases for the return trip home. (Play along, please.) However, since all I brought was empty luggage, I've already run out of clean underwear. Luckily, there are plenty of shops with adorable undies on the sims. Know what else I was happy to find? Lots of men's things!

One thing I always look for with events in SL is if they will be fun to go to with Jerremy. I don't want to just drag him around so he can watch me shop. Here are just some of the stores with men's items that I saw sprinkled around the fair:

Fair-ly Exciting

I am standing on a platform on a virtual Eiffel Tower, looking down at the Paris sim of the Relay For Life Clothing Fair. I have not bought anything yet, but my $Lindens are burning a hole in my pocket. There are nine sims. Nine. With over 150 shops. So in the next few days (specifically, March 13 at 3 pm SLT until March 21), expect at least a couple pictures of me wandering around in a shop-drunk state. The theme this year is really cool: fashion cities around the world and the builds are just gorgeous. Well, I'm off to explore more! Ciao!

My 2 Front Teef

Hi. I was going to do a post about teeth or SL dentists (if there are any) because my typist is getting her teeth laser whitened tomorrow (and she projects a lot). While I was searching for all things teeth related, I found this little gem: a pair of wax lips.

Here is a beauty tip from me!: If you had fairly low standards, you could save yourself from having to spend thousands of $Lindens on one of those chic skins with the teeth showing and just use these!

I hope he is hungry!

MMMMM!! Look what Jerremy gets to come home to! Hot, steamy, spicy and delicious (if I do say so myself). I tried to hold the bread in my cleavage so I wouldn't have to make two trips from the kitchen, but it was HUGE and looked rather ridiculous.

I recently heard about a growing and slightly disturbing trend on the SL fashion feeds. It seems everyone and their mother is using cocks and pussies in their blog post photos and store ads!

I am shocked! The poor animals have absolutely no say in this practice. Can you imagine hundreds of innocent cocks and pussies forced to be under hot lights for hours on end while someone takes photographs? Do they even get food and water? A place to rest?

Will cocks and pussies really sell your pixel clothing? No! They can't even wear clothes, for Pete's sake! We feel bad for the poor creatures. Is showing off your cock edgy?? Is showing a furry pussy artsy? No! It is just cruel.

At least in RL, representatives from the American Humane Society are on set to ...Wait...what? Oh my god. But I thought... Really? 

Ummm...never mind.

The 2010 SLoscars

At the SLoscars last night, Avatar cleaned up. Well, not that Avatar. This one. Me! 

I won for best supported slider breasts or something. I forget. I was drunk on prim champagne. I am sure I remember thanking the man upstairs (the guy I found squatting in a skybox above our house). I wouldn't forget -- I am sweet and down to Earth like that.

My friend, Gwendolyn Bieler (Gwendolyn Bieler Interior Designs) hosted an Oscar party last night at the Hallelujah Azul shopping sim and did a fabulous job with the red carpet interviews, too. When she asked what I was wearing, I went on about how my stylist/typist had found a lovely vintage Apple May gown for me. Vintage. That's Hollywood code for, "No one can get it any more. All mine! HAHAHAHA!!"  

But you might still be able to get mine. I don't know. I bought it a long time ago.

Linden Home Saga #35: Tough Decisions

Never - he is a normal, healthy, plywood boy. But, our son is the equivalent of another chair and and a picture for the wall.

Katey's Box

I've never won a naming contest before. Not ever. Not even in the third grade when there was an event to name a Herbie-the-Love-Bug-like safety mascot/car in our city. I brainstormed and sent in about a billion names. A classmate of mine won it. I was one P.O.d eight year old. But it's OK. I got over it. I barely remember it. Really.

Yesterday, Katey Coppola of Glitterati asked SL Plurkers to help her name her newest photo prop. I Plurked name after name until I couldn't name anymore. Katey didn't choose any of my names, but generously sent me one of her new Into The Black posing thing-a-ma-bobs for giving so many suggestions. 

I will admit that I am not wearing the best outfit to be posing with my legs up in the air. But at least you can only see Katey's box in the picture. 

Spray it, don't say it!

I found the coolest thing today! AM Radio has an interactive exhibit at IDIA Laboratories. Go there and click on the spray paint can near the trains and you can tag the cars! It is really fast and easy. Once you design your tag, it is uploaded to a Flickr group and then uploaded to the train cars. As each new piece of art is uploaded by someone, the art moves to the next car over. 
  

Hurry up and take the picture!!

I felt kind of bad yesterday for teasing about banjos but no putting out with a picture of them. So here.This is me playing very quickly before anyone TPs there, sees me...and challenges me to a duel.

In other news, SLifer Crys Lexenstar put together a Second Life Superlatives survey. I heard about it on Plurk today. (Add me!) It is long, but it covers so many areas. You can vote for favorite night clubs, designers, RP sims, bloggers *cough* *cough* and much more!

In more other news, apparently a good number of the fashion bloggers received a gift of prim breasts today. I tried to persuade some of them to wear them in their posts all on one day - a huge blogosphere-wide breast fest, so to speak. Who knows if I was successful? However, if there is a sudden surge in the number of extra-super duper well-endowed fashion bloggers in the next few days, well, you're welcome!

Pickin' (up free textures)

I went and picked up the four free packs of Linden Home textures today. I discovered another freebie while I was there -- you can pick up a free banjo at the hub in Tahoe Springs! No, I am not sure why you need one. But they were sitting out everywhere with "Touch for a free banjo!" hover text. It appears that the Lindens are quite frantic to get everyone playing. Is there some industry statistic that I wasn't aware of? I don't think there is any reason for LL to worry -- I am pretty sure that SL has the highest number of banjos per user of any MMORPG out there. Especially since There.com decided to shut down.

This is an ordinary night, but an extraordinary place to be. I've had some things happen this week (nothing bad, though) that have made me very, very appreciative of how fortunate I am in both worlds.

Fabulous Frizzies

I'm at another TV show today! Alicia Chenaux and Katey Coppola (Glitterati poses) were modeling some clothes for the show Fabulous Fashion so I went to watch it. 

I think I have a new goal in SL -- to go from watching the show to being on one. Hmmm...looking closer at this photo, I think that my flyaway hair might be holding me back from virtual TV fame.
